ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Tutor Assessor in Brickwork to support apprentices and work-based learners through high-quality assessment, coaching and learner support. You will work closely with employers and learners to ensure apprentices make excellent progress, achieve their qualifications and develop the skills required for a successful career within the construction industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Deliver high-quality assessment, coaching and learner support in line with College and awarding body requirements.
  • Monitor learner progress and carry out regular reviews, setting clear targets and providing effective feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with employers and workplace mentors to support learner development and achievement.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, assessment evidence and compliance documentation.
  • Carry out workplace visits and contribute to quality assurance and standardisation activities.
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Level 3 qualification in Brickwork or a related vocational area.
  • Recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above and an assessor qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience within Brickwork or Construction.
  • Experience of supporting learners within an apprenticeship, work-based learning or educational environment.
  • Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage learners and employers effectively.
