ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a committed Head of Teaching & Learning to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.

Interviews for this role will take place on the 23rd June 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Lead and improve teaching, learning and assessment across the college.
  • Manage teaching excellence and digital learning teams to drive innovation and high standards.
  • Oversee staff development, coaching, CPD and teaching improvement programmes.
  • Use quality reviews, performance data and learner outcomes to identify and implement improvements.
  • Work with curriculum leaders to embed outstanding teaching practice and support continuous improvement.
  • Champion evidence-based practice, digital learning and emerging educational technologies.
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven track record of outstanding teaching practice and positive learner outcomes.
  • Significant experience leading and managing teams to improve teaching, learning, assessment and student outcomes.
  • Experience leading whole-college or cross-organisational teaching and learning improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework within Further Education.
  • Strong understanding of digital, immersive and assistive technologies and how they support teaching and learning.
