ABOUT THE ROLE

The Programme Tutor – Motor Vehicle role is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables students to develop skills, achieve qualifications and progress successfully. The role focuses on creating inclusive learning experiences, supporting learner achievement, maintaining quality standards, and preparing students for progression into employment or further study.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that supports positive learner outcomes and achievement.
  • Plan and deliver inclusive learning experiences that meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
  • Monitor learner attendance, engagement, progress and achievement, taking appropriate intervention where required.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to assessment, learner progress and quality requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support teams to maintain consistent standards and improve quality across programmes.
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above.
  • Relevant Motor Vehicle / vocational qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience within a vocational setting.
  • Ability to deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment that supports learner progress and achievement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt delivery to meet diverse learner needs, including SEND.
