ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a committed Exams Officer to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Administer the full examinations process, ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements.
  • Process exam entries, amendments, withdrawals, and maintain accurate examination records and systems.
  • Prepare and maintain examination timetables, supporting the smooth delivery of all exam activities.
  • Coordinate with curriculum teams, invigilators, and support services to ensure examination requirements and access arrangements are met.
  • Support the processing, distribution, and communication of examination results while acting as a key point of contact for students, staff, and awarding bodies.
  • Contribute to quality assurance, continuous improvement initiatives, audits, and inspections to enhance examination systems and processes.
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience working in a similar examinations, administration, or compliance-focused role.
  • Knowledge of curriculum delivery and a range of awarding bodies and examination requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines accurately.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using data and information systems to maintain accurate records and support informed decision-making.
