ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a committed Programme Tutor- Hairdressing to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities, someone who can maintain familiarity with the changing demands of the curriculum, assessment, and customer needs, and reflect these changes in the design, delivery, and assessment.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape future talent whilst contributing to the continued growth within the Retail & Commercial Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • To contribute to the promotion of excellence in teaching/support, learning, and assessment, working as part of a team in the Department.
  • To be responsible for the organisation of teaching/support and learning for a specific assignment of learners
  • To promote and provide excellent customer service internally and externally in all areas of the role.
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience for vocational teaching roles.
  • Experience of working with young people in a learning environment
  • Ability to deliver teaching, learning and assessment that meets the required quality standards and supports learner progress and achievement.
  • Minimum Level 3 relevant qualification for any Trade related subject or a recognised level 3 (or higher) for academic subjects 
  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or equivalent
