ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a committed Programe Tutor - Uniformed Public Services and Sport to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in line with College, awarding body, and regulatory requirements to support positive learner outcomes.
- Plan and deliver inclusive learning, using appropriate differentiation, reasonable adjustments, and support strategies to meet individual learner needs, including students with SEND.
- Monitor and support learner progress, attendance, engagement, and achievement through target setting, effective feedback, and timely intervention.
- Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation, ensuring compliance with College quality assurance requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, and learner wellbeing, escalating concerns in line with College procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support services to deliver consistent, high-quality provision and meet individual learner needs.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including standardisation, internal verification, peer review, and quality improvement.
- Maintain professional and vocational expertise through continuous professional development and effective use of digital learning technologies.
- Contribute to learner progression, transition, and positive destination outcomes.
- Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Relevant industry experience (minimum of five years for vocational teaching roles) and experience of supporting learners in an educational or training environment.
- Ability to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning and assessment that supports learner progress, achievement, and meets the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant curriculum area, assessment practices, and quality assurance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage learners while building positive working relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively, contribute to continuous quality improvement, and effectively use digital systems, learning technologies, and resources
